An accredited 64,000 sq. ft. elementary and high school built in 2002.  The new school has state-of-the-art classrooms, a wellness center, community library, and excellent sports facilities.

I-90 runs across the country, from the eastern seaboard (Boston) to the western shores (Seattle) of the United States.  US 281 is an international highway connecting Canada to Mexico.

Mon 6th --------------------- City Council Meeting - 6:30 pm
The general public is welcome to attend meetings of the Plankinton City Council at City Hall. To be added to the agenda, please call in advance at 942-7767.  Meetings are generally held the first Monday of the month.

Mon 13th -------------------- School Board Meeting - 7:00 pm
Regular meetings of the board of the Plankinton Independent School District 1-1 are held the 2nd Monday of each month in the workroom at Plankinton School.

Wed 15th -------------------- Plankinton Service Club Meeting - 12 Noon - Commerce
All business owners in the Plankinton area are invited to join the Service Club and help promote the Plankinton business community.  The Club gets involved in worthy community causes and plans exciting events such as the annual Plankinton Pheasant Fest!  Contact Lindsey Weich at 605-942-7636 for details on how to become a member.

Stop in at the Farmers & Merchants State Bank during business hours and ask to get signed up with Kelsey, or call Kelsey at 942-7781.

The Plankinton Area Wellness Center has a flat monthly rate.  You are encouraged to set up your monthly payment to be automatically deducted from your checking account for a 50% discount!

In September 2013 the Wellness Center installed an entrance directly into the Wellness Center.  With your membership you will receive an Access Control Card that allows you 24-hour access into the facility.  Your first Access Control Card (key) is free with a membership.  Additional or replacement cards are $10.00 each.

Plankinton Area Wellness Center Rules

1)  No street shoes allowed on machines
2)  Sign in the log book with date, name, arrival time, and departure time
3)  You are encouraged to bring water to stay hydrated; no other beverages or food in facility
4)  Clean the pieces of equipment that you have used with the provided wipes
5)  Treadmills and one of the ellipticals need to have power switches shut off after use
6)  If you are the last one in the facility, shut off TV, stereo equipment, fans, and lights
